Introduction

Alliance is an app designed to connect teachers worldwide to resources, lesson plans, and classroom development ideas. Going into the project, I wanted to help create a resource that would bring America's public education standards up to other countries, such as Switzerland, Japan, and Germany. The app provides resources from other countries, and gives educators access to new, progressive teaching methods. I was inspired by my sister (who is a teacher) to create a prototype that is accessible for all ages, and serves as an additional tool or resource outside of blogs, textbooks, and other school district materials. The prototype includes features that can be specifically tailored to each educators' needs, such as subject-specific resources, age/grade groups, and behavior help.
